Great news! Project Yahuarcaca has been elected out of 323 proposals from 10 countries as one of the finalists in the Social Inclusion Award 2016 of Colsubsidio! A biennial award focused on projects which positively contribute to the wellbeing of vulnerable human populations in Colombia, Latin America and the Caribbean. After three years of dedication, perseverance and working alongside with the local indigenous population in the municipalities of Leticia and Puerto Nariño, in the far south of the Colombian Amazon, great results has been achieved in nature management and conservation, education and community-led ecotourism.
